FOOD PRODUCTION FACILITY
A specialized facility designed for the growing and production of maitake mushrooms. These mushrooms are a gourmet product in specialty grocers and also used heavily in cancer treatment research. The schedule for this project is an aggressive fast track in order to meet the owner’s requirements. To achieve the client’s goal, Michael Clark Construction managed to develop a phased approach to this project. The building is structural steel framing with precast exterior cladding. The interior space is divided utilizing insulated metal panel. The mechanical systems are specialized and complex do to the nature of the production requirements for the mushrooms.
