The vehicle maintenance and service garage built in the early Seventies needed to be structurally modified to accommodate twenty-three feet wide doors, removing columns and replacing beams. Thermal resistance was increased using thermal doors, brickwork was peeled away from its uninsulated block cavity and replaced with four-inch prefinished insulated wall panels.
